Municipality Smyadovo

There are no ore minerals on the territory of Smyadovo Municipality. Of the non-mineral fossils, the Senonian limestones are promising. In the area south of the village of Rish and the village of Veselinovo, there are small lenses or thin interlayers of jet coal, which are unsuitable for exploitation. The sandstones and limestones of the Senona, Barrema and Apta, as well as the Khotriva sandstones are used as building material. The mining of sand and gravel from the terraces of the Kamchia river has good qualities for construction.
